PLANNING YOUR VIDEO

The Concept Meeting
We will come to your company and dedicate two hours to discussing your video’s production beginning with the first two phases: Familiarization and Creation. The goal of the Familiarization phase is to confirm the concept for your video. During the Creation phase we will detail the production schedule and book the day you want us to shoot your video.

In order to be as productive as possible during this meeting, we ask that your company do some internal planning before we hold the concept meeting.

Please ask and answer these and additional questions:
  • Who is our audience?
  • What is the video’s message?
  • What are the goals we hope to achieve from creating this video?
  • How might we create a visual atmosphere that will reinforce the story, message, product, or service being highlighted in the video?
  • What visual, factual, and sensory elements do we have to include in order to effectively communicate the message?
  • Is the video’s purpose to tell a story or capture a series of events taking place at the company?
  • What location should we choose to shoot this video?

The Video Shoot
We will dedicate two hours to capturing interviews, sights and products at your location of choice. Our package includes a one location shoot unless other arrangements have been made.

Post-production
Post-production of your video takes place at our studio and includes two phases:

Phase One:
During the first phase, we’ll edit for length, add titles, narration, and music. Between phases one and two, your company will have the opportunity to review and make changes.

Phase Two:
Once we have received a final approval on your video, California Web Video will create a web-compatible version of your video and post it online to its own customized web page or other places like YouTube or Google. Then we’ll mail a CD of the video in QuickTime version to you for your records and further use.
